Trinity Football Asks His Players to Join Him in Song

I had the pleasure of being among 43,000 fans in Cowboys Stadium last year when Trinity played Pearland for the state's Class 5A Division I title.

One of my favorite moments was watching the entire team do the HAKA, a traditional Polynesian war dance before the game.  The team began doing the dance before games in 2005 as a tribute to the school's strong ties to the tiny Pacific island kingdom of Tonga.  The city of Euless has about 4,000 Tongans in the city of 50,000.

Today, I found this story that was equally as entertaining.  It is a video of head coach Steve Lineweaver leading his team in song on the opening day of practice to Bill Withers' Lean on Me.

Enjoy!!
