Mesquite Poteet Wins Opener

Mesquite Poteet quarterback Andrew Maddox will never forget his first varsity start as he led his team to a season opening 18-14 win over Midloathian Thursday night at Memorial Stadium. Maddox ran for 168 yards and three scores, which included a 79-yard run on just the second play from scrimmage.
