Spending the day searching the web for good high school football videos.

I came upon this one on YouTube. It's the Dayton Broncos' 2009 season highlights video.

Last season the Broncos finished 10-3, losing in the state quarters 30-24 to Brenham. Great job by Jeff Hanel. Check-out more of his work on his YouTube Channel jayhanel.

Lake Travis Hires New Head Football Coach From Within Current Staff

by Jeff Fisher
Texas High School Football Huddle

The term interim has been removed from Lake Travis head football coach Hank Carter's title.

Schools officials have decided to hire Carter, who has served as the team's defensive coordinator over the past couple of seasons, as the Cavaliers new head coach. He's been serving as the interim coach since Chad Morris stepped-down on January 17th to take a coaching job at the University of Tulsa.

Lake Travis has won three straight 4A titles and will bring a win streak of 46 games into the 2010 season.

The American-Statesman reports that Carter will have a good chance to extend both streaks with the return of quarterback Michael Brewer and three of his top four receivers returning.
