In a battle of nationally ranked teams before 30,000 fans in Cowboys Stadium, Euless Trinity ended Allen's unbeaten season with a 28-21 win in the second round of the Texas Class 5A Division I playoffs on Saturday.

Trinity (12-0), ranked #13 by MaxPreps, used a powerful running game with Joel Kimpela racking-up 345 yards on 32 carries and two touchdowns.  As a team, the Trojans ran for 510 yards.

Allen (11-1), ranked #21 by MaxPreps, had a shot at the end to tie the game to send it to overtime, but they were stopped at the goal line on a fourth-and-goal.

The Eagles erased a 19-0 second quarter lead by Trinity.

It was the second straight year that Trinity ended the Eagles season in the postseason.
