Football players at Prestonwood Academy returned to the practice field Wednesday, two days after assistant coach Wade McLain died during a break in on-field workouts.
According to published reports, the 55-year old McLain, who was married and a father of five, died from a combination of heat exposure and heart disease. Parts of Texas have been dealing with temperatures above 100 degrees for over 30 straight days.
Monday's practice took place at 4 P.M., it was the first day that Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools could begin their fall camps.
On Wednesday, Prestonwood Academy practiced in 8 A.M.
Prestonwood has won back-to-back state championships, winning the TAPPS Division I title last year and the Division II title in 2009.
