Texas High School Football Huddle
Today is the first day that Texas high school football fans can vote on the top moments in north Texas high school football history. The voting is part of the Super Bowl XLV celebration for the 2011 championship game that will be played in Cowboys Stadium in Dallas next year.
There are 43 games/moments on the ballot from the first game played at Fair Park on October 7, 1930 to Allen's Division I championship game win over Euless Trinity in 2008. Fans can cast their ballots by downloading them here and mailing them before the April 19th postmark deadline or on-line at www.centuryinthemaking.com.
Later this year, voters will also choose moments from the college and pro ranks, plus "great moments and unforgettable achievements" in north Texas football history.
Altogether, there are 250 games/moments on the ballot. At the end of the voting, the 250 moments will be reduced to the Top 100.
