Morton Ranch Hires New Coach One Week from Start of Season

Former DeSoto head football coach Dave Meadows has a big job ahead of him as the new head coach at Morton Ranch. Meadows has less than a week to get his new team in-shape for its season opener Friday at Tomball.

According to the Houston Chronicle, Meadows takes over the reigns of the program after three weeks of uncertainty after head coach Scott Svendsen, offensive coordinator Jeremy Orsagh and defensive coordinator Cody Haug were suspended on August 7th. The trio was suspended for allegations of violating district policies of concerning student records, misuse of funds and athlete eligibility.
