by Jeff Fisher
Texas High School Football Huddle
Lake Travis head coach Hank Carter joined me Thursday night on High School Football America to talk about his team's drive to make Texas football history by winning its fifth straight championship.
The Cavaliers, on a 20-game win streak and ranked #16 by MaxPreps, face Pearland Dawson Friday night in the Class 4A Division I semifinals in the Alamodome.
Lake Travis hasn't lost a playoff game since November, 2006.

Texas High School Football Scores - Playoffs/Quarterfinals
by Jeff Fisher
Texas High School Football Huddle
Aledo's Jonathan Gray continued to gain yards in his quest to become America's all-time leading rusher and his team avenged an early season loss to Stephenville Saturday, but it wasn't all smiles afterwards.
Gray, a Texas-recruit, was ejected in the third quarter for two unsportsmanlike conduct penalties in his team's 33-0 win in the Class 4A-II regional final. The loss avenged a 48-47 loss to Stephenville early in the season.
The senior running back finished the game with 195 yards and a touchdown, but he was way below the average he needs to try to overtake Ken Hall of Sugar Land (Texas), who holds the all-time record with 11,232 yards. Gray now has 10,449 yards for his career that keeps him fourth on the national all-time list.
Gray is 783 yards behind Hall with the possibility of only two games left, if Aledo makes it back to the state title game.
Aledo has now won 16 straight playoff games and will play Corsicana next Friday.
Earlier this year, I spoke to Gray about his record-breaking career. You can watch that interview on High School Football America below.
